TERMS OF USE

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By accessing or using lonewolves.dev (the "Site"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). The Site is a privately operated, self-hosted LinkStack instance owned and operated by Pawbeans.

The Site is not a public account-hosting service. Accounts are available only by invitation or direct approval from Pawbeans. Public registration is not offered.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must stop using the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date displayed with these Terms will indicate when changes were made. Your continued use of the Site after revised Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where reasonably practical, users may also be informed directly of significant changes.

2. LINKSTACK AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Site is powered by LinkStack, open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

These Terms govern access to and use of this specific hosted instance at lonewolves.dev. They do not replace, restrict, or modify the software license that applies to LinkStack or to any other open-source or third-party software used by the Site.

LinkStack, its project name, trademarks, logos, and other associated materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Except for the underlying LinkStack software, third-party components, and content owned by others, users retain ownership of the content they create or upload.

3. ELIGIBILITY AND USER REPRESENTATIONS

By using the Site, you represent and agree that:

  • You have been invited or expressly authorized by Pawbeans to use the Site.
  • Any account information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms, or have any consent required by applicable law.
  • You will use the Site only for lawful purposes.
  • You will not knowingly use the Site in a way that violates applicable law, regulation, or the legal rights of another person.
  • You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, administrative interfaces, or other parts of the Site that you are not authorized to access.

Pawbeans may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are violated or where continued access creates a security, legal, or operational risk.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

Accounts on the Site are created or approved by Pawbeans. Public registration and automatic account creation are not available.

Receiving an account does not create a permanent right to continued access.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity performed through your account. You should notify Pawbeans if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.

You may not sell, transfer, share, or provide access to your account to another person without permission from Pawbeans.

Pawbeans may change, suspend, or revoke account access where reasonably necessary to administer, protect, or maintain the Site.

5. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You agree not to misuse the Site. You must not:

  • Use the Site for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account, the server, administrative systems, or other restricted resources.
  • Attempt to bypass or interfere with authentication, access controls, rate limits, or other security measures.
  • Introduce malware, malicious scripts, viruses, destructive code, or other harmful material.
  • Intentionally disrupt, overload, damage, or interfere with the Site or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract information in a way that creates an unreasonable burden on the Site.
  • Impersonate another person or falsely represent your identity.
  • Use the Site to harass, threaten, defraud, abuse, or deliberately harm another person.
  • Publish or distribute content that you do not have the legal right to use.
  • Violate another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
  • Use the Site in a manner that creates an unreasonable security or legal risk for Pawbeans, the server, or other users.

Normal use of publicly accessible profile pages, including viewing and linking to them, is not prohibited by this section.

6. USER CONTENT

Authorized users may create profile pages and publish content including text, links, images, descriptions, and other materials ("User Content").

You remain responsible for the User Content associated with your account.

By publishing User Content, you confirm that you own the content or have the rights and permissions necessary to use and publish it.

You must not knowingly publish User Content that:

  • Violates applicable law.
  • Infringes another person's intellectual property or other legal rights.
  • Contains malware or other intentionally harmful material.
  • Unlawfully exposes another person's private or confidential information.
  • Is intended to facilitate fraud, abuse, threats, or other unlawful conduct.

Although account creation is private and invite-only, individual profile pages and other content may be publicly accessible depending on the Site configuration and your profile settings. You are responsible for considering this before publishing personal, confidential, or sensitive information.

Pawbeans may remove or restrict access to User Content where reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, a security issue, a valid legal request, or an operational problem.

7. LICENSE TO HOST USER CONTENT

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By adding User Content to the Site, you grant Pawbeans a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, cache, technically process, back up, and display that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Site.

This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Pawbeans and does not grant Pawbeans the right to sell your content or use it for unrelated advertising or commercial purposes.

This license generally ends when your User Content is permanently deleted from the Site, except where copies temporarily remain in backups, logs, caches, or other systems maintained for legitimate technical, security, or legal purposes.

8. FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS

You may voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback regarding the Site.

Providing feedback does not transfer ownership of your unrelated intellectual property or User Content.

You agree that Pawbeans may use feedback you voluntarily provide to maintain, operate, or improve the Site without an obligation to compensate you.

9. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND CONTENT

User profiles may contain links to websites, services, applications, or content operated by third parties.

Pawbeans does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, content, privacy practices, products, or services.

The presence of a third-party link on the Site does not necessarily mean that Pawbeans endorses or approves that third party.

When you follow a link to another website or service, you do so at your own discretion and are subject to that third party's own terms and policies.

Each user is responsible for the links and third-party content they choose to publish on their profile.

10. SITE MANAGEMENT

Pawbeans may take reasonable actions necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and administer the Site. This may include:

  • Investigating suspected violations of these Terms.
  • Restricting or removing content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
  • Suspending or terminating accounts.
  • Restricting access to protect the Site or its users.
  • Removing files or content that create significant technical or security problems.
  • Performing maintenance, updates, backups, migrations, or configuration changes.

Pawbeans is not obligated to continuously monitor all User Content or third-party links.

11. TERM AND TERMINATION

These Terms apply for as long as you access or use the Site.

Because the Site is privately operated and invite-only, Pawbeans may suspend or terminate an account or withdraw access to the Site.

Where reasonably practical, users may be given an opportunity to retrieve their own content before an account is permanently removed. This cannot be guaranteed in cases involving security incidents, technical failures, urgent legal requirements, or serious violations of these Terms.

If your account is suspended or terminated, you may not create or obtain a replacement account without approval from Pawbeans.

12. MODIFICATIONS, MAINTENANCE, AND INTERRUPTIONS

The Site is privately hosted and may be modified, updated, temporarily suspended, migrated, or discontinued at any time.

Continuous availability is not guaranteed.

The Site may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hardware or software failures, internet connectivity problems, security incidents, configuration changes, hosting issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Pawbeans is not obligated to provide a particular level of uptime, technical support, feature availability, storage capacity, or long-term availability.

No payment or service-level guarantee is implied merely by being granted access to the Site.

13. DISCLAIMER

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Pawbeans makes no guarantee that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Pawbeans does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, legality, or reliability of User Content or content available through third-party links.

You use the Site and rely on content available through it at your own discretion and risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, obligation, or legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pawbeans will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.

This includes, where permitted by law, losses arising from loss of data, loss of access, downtime, technical failures, third-party services, User Content, or links available through the Site.

Because the Site is privately operated and provided without a guaranteed service level, you should not rely on it as your only storage location or as infrastructure for critical services.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

15. RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR USE

You are responsible for your own use of the Site and for User Content published through your account.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses or claims resulting directly from your unlawful use of the Site, your material violation of these Terms, or content you publish without the necessary legal rights or permissions.

Nothing in this section requires you to assume responsibility for actions or circumstances caused solely by Pawbeans.

16. USER DATA AND BACKUPS

The Site stores certain information necessary to provide and administer user accounts and profile pages.

The Site is hosted on infrastructure located in Switzerland.

Reasonable efforts may be made to maintain and back up the Site, but backups are not guaranteed to be complete, current, or available in every circumstance.

You should maintain your own copy of any User Content that is important to you. The Site should not be treated as your only permanent storage location.

Pawbeans may access account or system data where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, back up, migrate, or administer the Site, or to comply with applicable legal obligations.

The collection and handling of personal information is further described in the Site's Privacy Policy.

17. SECURITY

Reasonable efforts may be made to protect the Site and its systems, but no internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for using a strong and unique password and for protecting access to your account.

You should promptly inform Pawbeans if you become aware of a suspected account compromise, security vulnerability, or unauthorized access affecting the Site.

You must not publicly disclose or exploit a security vulnerability in a way that creates unnecessary risk to the Site or its users before giving Pawbeans a reasonable opportunity to address it.

18. MISCELLANEOUS

These Terms, together with any Privacy Policy or other rules expressly applicable to the Site, form the agreement governing your use of lonewolves.dev.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

A failure by Pawbeans to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not permanently waive the right to enforce it later.

Your use of the Site does not create an employment, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or agency relationship between you and Pawbeans.

These Terms do not alter the licenses applicable to LinkStack or any other open-source or third-party software used to operate the Site.

The fact that the Site is hosted in Switzerland does not, by itself, determine which country's law or courts apply to every dispute. Any applicable law and jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the circumstances and mandatory legal rules that apply.
